Lives were forever changed when little AJ went to heaven. On November 12th, 2005, my wife Holli and I experienced every parent's most horrifying fear. We lost our first born son, AJ (20 months old and the light of our lives) in a tragic accident. The shock, the grief, the guilt, and the heaviness of this tragic loss will be with us for the rest of our lives. Through the love and support that have surrounded us, we have gained an understanding of the meaning of AJ's short time here on earth. We believe AJ also knew he was on earth for a reason: To show each of us how precious life is and to help us slow down and cherish every moment. It is the mission of the AJ Linville Foundation to turn his tragic loss into something that will have a positive influence in the lives of other children and their families. Every circumstance, no matter how terrible, presents choices. In our seemingly unbearable situation, our choice is to remember and honor AJ by helping to create a better life for children who are ill and to provide care and comfort for their families. AJ was a healthy, active boy for all of his 20 months here on earth. The goal of the AJ Linville Foundation is to help make life as wonderful and comfortable as possible for children and their families who are not as healthy as AJ and who are unable to enjoy the things AJ was able to enjoy. Life on earth is precious. The AJ Linville Foundation wants to help others live it to the fullest. To that end, The AJ Linville Foundation has been established and is recruiting a group of adults and children, called Team AJ, to help spread the word. Help us help other children by joining our Team! |
